What people ask us
What does a clearance cost?
It depends on how much there is and how much of it can have a second life: whatever is usable goes to the shop, and that keeps the cost down. That is why we come and look first. You hear the price before we start.
How quickly can it be done?
Tell us on the first call when the house needs to be empty, for example the day the tenancy ends. Then we agree together when we come.
Who pays for the clearance?
Whoever orders it: usually the family or the heirs, a legal guardian, a council or a housing association. After a death the cost belongs to the estate; if in doubt, ask the notary.
Do you leave the house broom-clean?
We leave it empty and tidy, ready to go back to the landlord, the new owners or the family. If the landlord has their own handover rules, such as taking up the carpet, tell us when we come to look. We discuss it straight away.
